Privacy notice

Information this app stores

Vision Friend stores your name and email address, a securely hashed password, and your account role. It also stores invitation details such as the invited email address, invitation expiry, and whether the invitation was accepted.

When you add content, the app stores collection names and types, visibility settings, photos, captions, tags, and upload dates. The app does not need your photo files to be public: they are kept in private object storage and served through the app according to the collection's visibility.

How information is used

Account information is used to sign you in, manage invitations and permissions, and associate your collections and photos with your account. Collection and photo details are used to display, organise, and share the content you choose to add.

Sign-in uses an authentication cookie. Invitation emails are sent through Resend. The application, database, and image storage are hosted using Cloudflare services. Those providers process information as needed to deliver their services; their own terms and privacy notices also apply. This notice does not specify a storage region or a provider retention period.

Sharing controls

• Private: available to you when signed in.
• Unlisted: available to anyone with the share link. The link is not listed in the app's sitemap, but it is not a confidentiality control; recipients can copy or forward it.
• Public: available to anyone and may be indexed by search engines. Public sharing can be enabled by Advanced Members and administrators.

Changing a collection to Private or deleting it prevents the app from serving its share page, but it cannot remove copies already downloaded, cached, or indexed by others.

Deletion and requests

You can delete photos and collections from the app. Deletion currently moves these records to an administrator-managed recycle bin so they can be restored; their image files may remain in storage. There is no automatic permanent-deletion schedule yet. Account deletion and profile editing are not self-service features. To ask about access, correction, or deletion, contact the administrator who invited you using the contact details they provided.

Content and children's privacy

Only upload photos and information that you have permission to store and share. Take particular care before adding images or identifying information about children. Review a collection's visibility before sharing it, and avoid uploading information you would not want exposed if a link is forwarded or an account is accessed by someone else.

This notice may be updated as the app changes. The date above indicates the latest revision. For privacy questions or requests, contact the administrator who invited you.
